PPOs provide policyholders with reasonable co-payments in
exchange for using the group's network of practitioners. The average
co-payment is $15 for routine office visits. You are allowed to see
any specialist without a referral, as long as the specialist is part
of the network.
If you choose to see an out-of-network doctor, you may have a
higher co-pay or have to submit the insurance paperwork yourself.
You may have to pay a deductible if you go out of the network.
